On September 15, the 9th Guangzhou International Fishery Expo and the 2023 Guangzhou International Marine-Ranch Exhibition opened grandly in Zone B of the Canton Fair Complex, with the Guangdong Modern Marine-Ranch Development Forum held alongside the exhibition.
At the forum, the National Aquatic Biological Resources Conservation Management Platform was officially launched — jointly established by the National Fisheries Technology Extension Center, the Shandong Provincial Station for Fisheries Development and Resource Conservation, the Key Laboratory of Marine Ranching of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Qingdao Guoshi Technology Group Co., Ltd., Suzhou Jie’an Information Technology Co., Ltd. and Shandong Guangwei Marine Technology Co., Ltd.
At the event, Luo Gang, Director of the Resource Conservation Division of the National Fisheries Technology Extension Center; Wang Xijie, Director of the Shandong Provincial Station for Fisheries Development and Resource Conservation; Chen Pimao, Director of the Key Laboratory of Marine Ranching of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Su Liang, Deputy Dean of the Guoshi Research Institute of Qingdao Guoshi Technology Group Co., Ltd.; Chen Xi, Deputy General Manager of Suzhou Jie’an Information Technology Co., Ltd.; and Yu Haizhong, General Manager of Shandong Guangwei Marine Technology Co., Ltd., jointly witnessed the launch of the National Aquatic Biological Resources Conservation Management Platform.
The National Aquatic Biological Resources Conservation Management Platform is a technology-service platform built under the lead of the National Fisheries Technology Extension Center, aiming to improve the efficiency of aquatic-biological-resources conservation management and the display of its results. The platform upgrades the display of marine-ranch construction results from a single dimension to multiple dimensions and adds a marine-ranch construction-project management system. At the same time, it will introduce functional management such as proliferation-and-release management, resource-survey management and leisure-fishery management. In the future, as big data and cloud computing are deeply applied, the platform will fully mine and unleash the value of marine data, further completing the ecological closed loop of data accumulation, data governance and data application.
As a member unit of the National Aquatic Biological Resources Conservation Management Platform, GW-OCEAN will give full play to the technical and talent advantages of a technology enterprise, provide solid and stable assurance for the platform’s construction and maintenance, and safeguard the conservation and rational use of aquatic biological resources and the green, healthy and orderly development of China’s fishery.
